Democrats Go on the Road to Revive Health Care Push
Apparently the democrats have taken up somewhat aggressive tactics in effort to push through Obama’s health care plan. In “the 11-city tour to rally the faithful for President Obama’s health care plan,” democrats have been holding rallies much like were held prior to the election. These rallies are not themselves surprising but the willingness to push this plan through no matter what the resistance is striking. Not only does this sort of willingness resembles Obama’s fervor in getting his plans through, it has some resemblances of revolutionary methods as opposed to reformist methods. As a part of the democratic system, democrats have traditionally worked for reform of that system through the system. Yet now that the question has become “How much should liberal Democrats compromise with Republicans” their efforts begin to push the boundaries of reform. Nonetheless, while there are certain elements of direct action in these methods, the directness stops at the point at which it they are ultimately waiting on the government to make the change.
